#223.Close the gap
Where are you now?
Where do you want to be?
How far of a gap is there between those two versions of yourself?
However far, close the gap as much as you can.
You should always be trying to become the best version of yourself you can possibly become. That’s how you become a master at something. You close the gap between where you are and where you want to be. You learn more. You practice more. You dedicate yourself more. If you do those things, you’ll become a master at whatever trade you want.
To become a master at life, you do the same thing.
Never stop learning, it’s the key to success. Learning is the key to opening more doors for yourself. It’s the key to being better than you are now. It’s the key to understanding more of this life we live.
Practicing is essential. Practicing allows you to apply what you learned. Practicing allows you to get better at the best thing you know how to do, be yourself. It allows you to improve your skills, your instincts.
You must dedicate yourself to whatever you’re focusing on. The farther along you are in reaching your goal, the farther you’ll have to go to stay on track. The more you grow, the more you must focus. You can’t just work when it’s convenient, you have to work every single day. That’s how you close the gap between where you are no, and where you want to be tomorrow.
