Just a second ago I was born.

3/4 of a second ago I was put into the school system.

1/2 of a second ago I escaped elementary school, only to be put into another version of school.

Somewhere in between 3/4 and a 1/2 second ago, I moved and moved back.

1/4 of a second ago I entered the concrete jungle known as high school.

Somewhere between in between 1/4 a second ago and now, I traveled a bunch.

Just a second after birth, I’m transitioning into adulthood.

Along the way, in that little second, I’ve met and lost friends. I’ve experienced a portion of the world that is beautiful. I’ve experienced a portion of the world that is ugly. I’ve listened to great music, read some great books, saw some great movies and shows. I’ve done a lot in a second, but there’s so much to do beyond what I’ve experienced.

Honestly, I don’t know anything about being an adult. The only knowledge I possess is the knowledge passed down from previous generations, coupled with my own experiences.

I don’t know anything, but I do know one thing: a second ago I was born. That means I only have a few seconds before it’s all said and done. If I’ve only got a couple seconds to make the most out of it, I’m going to use them to make something special.
