You decide whether you are successful or not.
You decide whether you want a relationship with your loved ones or not.

You decide whether you are happy or not.

You decide whether the life you live is meaningful or not.

Circumstances can definitely get a person down. Circumstances can change or even derail a person’s life. But, circumstances are only so powerful. Circumstances aren’t nearly as strong as the human spirit. The human spirit is virtually unbreakable, but circumstances can change in a attosecond.

You might have lost all of your possessions, or ruined your relationships. Your entire life could be in shambles. On the other hand, all of that couldn’t be further from the truth. You could have all of your possessions, and your relationships fully intact. You could know your purpose in life and be actively pursuing it, but still be depressed.

Joy isn’t something that can be obtained by possessions or nice things happening around you. Joy is something that you must decide to have. You must decide whether to pick joy, or something much more dark.

You decide whether you want to actually work for the success you crave. You could decide that success isn’t that important to you, and focus on something else with your life. You decide who you want to be and what you will do with your limited time on this Earth.

You can decide whether you pick “the blue pill” or “the red pill”. Circumstances might make your success harder or easier. You could let things that are happening around you to dictate your disposition, or you could decide for yourself.
You can decide whatever you want in your life. Just remember, you and only you, must decide.
