#71. Notebook Collection
In the last 6 months, I’ve done a lot of traveling. One thing that usually comes with traveling are souvenirs. Souvenirs help you remember your experiences in a certain place that you visited.
When I visited Washington DC, I got a notebook from the US capitol. I didn’t know it then, but that was the beginning of a collection. Yesterday, while in Arizona visiting Grand Canyon University, I picked up another souvenir. The souvenir is a small(80 sheet, 7"x5" notebook with the GCU logo and mascot on the front. It’s #2 of my souvenir notebook collection. I actually wrote the first draft of this very article on that notebook.
For every new place I go, every time I am thrown out of my comfort zone,I will get a souvenir notebook to usher in the new beginning. New experiences change who you are and how you behave. Any time I expand my horizons(therefore changing how I think) it should be something celebrate. Since throwing a party for such a common occurrence would be ludicrous, buying a souvenir notebook will have to suffice.
I’ve heard the stories of the men and women constantly scribbling little notes down. I’ve heard about the entrepreneurs, the writers, the multi-millionaires seen constantly scribbling in their little notebooks. I want my collection of scribbles to be as vast as the world’s finest. That’s why I will strive to fill every single souvenir notebook I get, one way or another. Conserving my thoughts is something that is important to me. Who knows when I might need the knowledge written down before. I can already imagine myself 10 years older, referring to something that I’ve written today.
