Little Wins

It’s all about momentum; even the smallest win can turn around your day.

Take every opportunity to find moments of happiness, appreciation and success. The effect these “wins” have on your psyche should not be diminished as they one by one snowball into the larger story.

A great example of this comes from Dave Ramsey who focuses on financial independence. At the start, he preaches the debt snowball which taken one small payment at a time quickly builds into debt-free success,

Pay minimum payments on all of the debts except the smallest one then attack that debt with a vengeance. We’re talking gazelle intense, sell-out, get-this-thing-out-of-my-life-forever energy. Once it’s gone, take the money you were putting toward that debt, plus any extra money you find, and attack the next debt on the list. Once it’s gone, take that combined payment and go to the next debt. Knock them out one by one.
