“Then the Lord will provide shade for Mount Zion and all who assemble there. He will provide a canopy of cloud during the day and smoke and flaming fire at night, covering the glorious land. It will be a shelter from daytime heat and a hiding place from storms and rain.

‭According to statistics, loneliness is growing more prevalent each year. In the midst of massive social media connection, and increased urban living, there is still a growing disconnection between individuals. We all yearning for some type of deep connection — it’s human. Some love large groups, and others crave a deep one on one. Why is that we can’t seem to scratch this itch today with all the tools and people available?

Isaiah is pointing to a cleaned and purified group of people in this prophecy. The statement cloud by day and fire by night was a reference from Israel’s history. It was a time when God put a physical form of his presence with them at all times. It was a time of miraculous provision, outlandish miracles. I find it interesting and comforting that when God is pointing to his ideal purified church, he goes back to this time period in their history.

God wants to be with us. His name is Immanuel God with us. We often abstract this notion as some mystic peace or vague sense. However, I don’t think we can ignore the above reference. God desires to be physically with us in this world. He was physically a cloud by day and a fire by night. He physically sent his Son, and he promised to physically be with his purified church.

Can you tell that God is with you? Can others see that God is physically with you? Is your life full of testimony, miracles, opening doors, powerful breakthroughs, and rehema words? This is the type of relationship that the Father desires. It is where he would like to take his relationship with you personally… if you will let him

Challenge

My wife is with me almost everyday. This didn’t happen by accident, but is because of the relationship that we have built. It was done on purpose. It was developed. The proximity and physical presence is the result of something else that took time and effort. It is a relationship.

We all want God physically in our lives, visible to both us and others, but the road to get there is not formulaic and it doesn’t occur overnight. It comes through the same way anyone else is becomes physically apparent in your life — spending time with them, considering them in your actions, sacrificing your time for them, and building a reason to exist together.

Start build this relation with God, and watch how he physically starts to show up in your life.

Let’s Meet!!

If this resonated with you, I would love to hear from you:
