Home to food, art, and innovative cocktails, Silver Lake has plenty to offer for the more adventure minded, day and night. You probably know about Sunset Junction, but let us take you on a trip to the East Side and share our favorite things to do as thrill-seekers.

LA River Bike Path 2498 Crystal St,
Los Angeles, CA, 90039

9:00AM

River Riding

Nestled along the Los Angeles River and the 5 freeway, riding, biking, walking, and cartwheels are all encouraged while exploring the Los Angeles River Bike Path. If it’s summer, the Frogspot will be hosting events, drinks, and music. No Wheels? No Problem — rent a bike here. Riding the river is a unique and great experience — as at times it’s easy to forget that LA even has a river.

Red Lion Tavern 2366 Glendale Blvd,
Los Angeles, CA, 90039

1:00PM

Prost!

Just five minutes up from the river is the The Red Lion. A German beer garden that doesn’t skimp on authenticity — scarf down a large pretzel or bratwurst, and wash it down with their wide selection of beer. For a deposit you can live your own version of Beer Fest and see if you can chug a boot.

Cha Cha Lounge 2375 Glendale Blvd
Los Angeles, CA

5:00PM

Tacos and Beer

Feeling a change of scenery? Cross the street from the Red Lion and visit Gus’s Lunch box. A taco truck that is normally parked outside the Cha Cha lounge. We recommend the al pastor mulitas, but be careful if you order the super spicy hot sauce. It’s no joke. Post tacos, cool your tongue inside the Cha Cha, a former tranny bar turned hipster-haven.

Silver Lake Reservoir & Meadow1854 Silver Lake Blvd
Los Angeles, CA

RELAX

The Morning After — Replenish at the Reservoir
Come for the lake, be surprised with a reservoir. Relish in a stroll, or jog around the reservoir and get your morning started. After your saunter around the reservoir, bask in the moment in the magical place that is simply known as the ‘Meadow’ — A grassy area on the eastern side. If you’re still looking for activity, there’s always pick up soccer or impromptu yoga, especially on the weekends.

LA MILL COFFEE 1636 Silver Lake Blvd,
Los Angeles, CA 90026

COFFEE

Morning After 2.0 — Eyes Open
Fancy a beverage of the caffeinated sort? Just a block south of the Silver Lake Reservoir is the stylish LA Mill coffee shop. Get rejuvenated and rub elbows with celebrities when you relax in their outdoor patio, perfect for people watching

Closing Statements
