Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 2, Verses 66–10/Dec/2019
Chapter 2 — Verse 66
naasti buddhisyuktasya na chaayuktasya bhaavanaa
na chaabhaavayataha shaantirashantasya kutaha sukham
Summary
There can be no wisdom to the unsteady. And those who are unsteady cannot meditate. Those who cannot meditate have no peace. And if they do not have peace how can they be happy?
To an unsteady mind, to a person who cannot fix the mind in contemplation, there can be no wisdom and no knowledge of the Self. Unsteady person cannot meditate as his mind will wander and not let him concentrate which will lead his mind to waver and not reach the true knowledge of the Self. That will lead him to not have peace and to a person who does not have peace he does not have happiness either. Happiness is the freedom of senses from thirst of sensual enjoyment, not in the thirst for objects. If a person is thirsting after objects there can be no happiness and is doomed to misery.
