Chapter 2 — Verse 61

taani sarvaani samyamya yukta aasati matparaha

vashe hi yasyendriyaani tasya pragnaa pratishthitaa

Summary

Restraining or controlling them all, a man should sit steadfast, focusing on me. His knowledge is steady whose senses are under control.

Sri Krishna is now explaining that a person should control all his senses, sit without any distractions and concentrate on me, that is the Lord or Vaasudeva or Krishna himself. But, he is saying, this Lord is the person itself and he should be thinking “I am no different than Vaasudeva”, “I am him”. That person who by repeated efforts and practice has got his senses under control is stable and worthy.
