When I got a phone call recently from my foster sister who lives in Wildomar California, the last thing I expected her to tell me was that she’s packing up and moving.
Wildomar is an area, located about 8 1/2 miles from Lake Elsinore — which is where so much devastation from wildfires have occurred this year.
The cover photo you see above (to the left), is a picture of just one of the recent fires that came so close to the neighborhood my sister is now preparing to leave.
She only just bought her spacious 4-bedroom, home less than two years ago, and in that time, she has only been able to enjoy it mostly on the weekend.
That’s because she was still working in Los Angeles, where I live, some 77 miles away.
Between buying a home, and the high cost of living in general, she couldn’t afford the exorbitant gas prices every week. It was much more cost-effective to remain closer to work.
