I Tried to Practice What I Preach BUT It’s Just Not Sustainable!

Do you make an honest effort to apply the lessons you teach?

We’ve all heard the expression (if not the Barry White R&B song): “Practice what you preach”.

I’m a firm believer in those words, even if it’s not always the easiest thing to do.

Practice what you preach…

This applies to the lessons I spend time trying to help others appreciate.

The very same productivity tips that I share and advise others to use, are the same ones that I usually try to take advantage of myself.

Sometimes I’m much better at teaching than performing, but still, I make every effort to apply the things that I teach.

Some good advice is not for everyone

New writers on Medium get lots of helpful writing advice, from prolific, longtime writers like me — whether they want it or not.

Since a large majority of the stories I publish, contain motivational and productivity tips, I feel obliged to do more than simply give good advice.

I practice what I preach, by taking my own advice, and following the same lesson plan that I provide to others.
