I Wanted to Help Boost Some Other Writers this Month…
…But now I need a boost my damn self!
Dear Medium friends, as I sit and write these words, I don’t know if I’m more angry or more disappointed about the situation I’m about to share.
This month, I had every intention of carrying out my special “boost” promotion, as a way to give a little lift to a few of my Medium followers.
Even though I have several small publications myself, I don’t have any official boosting power, or any real clout to speak of — I just have a burning desire to see us help one another in the community, in any way we can.
So my unofficial boosting activities, merely consisted of giving a little shout out to specific writers who chose to participate.
That is why, these past few days in January, at the end of my first nine stories, I introduced one of the following writers, along with 3 of their story titles.
You may have noticed the names of: Alize Henry, Denise Jackson, Over-50 Empress, Paulina Rau, Stephen Sovie, Tovah Rainsong, Paul van Gool, DL Nemeril, and Shari Walker.
For the remainder of the month, I had intentions on doing the same thing with these writers as well: Joy Yvette, Michael Burg, MD (Satire Sommelier) 😬, Marcia Gage, Ms. Love, Jade Shines…
