OMG: Is this the Second Fraud Alert Today or is Something Else in Play?

I wrote a story about a scammer and a fake account and then this happened afterwards

I hate to be an alarmist, and maybe this is a good thing, but something is clearly going on with my Medium account.

Today, I already shared how some scammer has apparently duplicated my account and trying to take advantage of my followers.

BEWARE Medium Members Because the Scammers are at it Again! — Have you received a strange looking request from a fake Justiss Goode Medium account?

Well, I’ve been trying to check in with some of my readers, and reply to comments on other stories, and suddenly this came to my attention:

I’m NOT talking about the comment that I made and was in the process of leaving. That was actually me, typing those words, so don’t focus on that.

But look at the area where the username is, at the top.

Yep, that’s my mugshot, with the little heart icon, showing I’m a Friend of Medium.
