Why Suffer from Ugly Varicose Veins?

As a brand new writer, just 3 months into my membership in 2021, I wrote a long, in depth story on the topic of varicose veins. This condition is something that’s common here in the United States, as well as other places around the globe.

Back then, I learned that varicose veins affect 1 out of 2 people over the age of 50, and wouldn’t you know it, they’re more common in women than men, because we tend to get all the good stuff (Menstrual cycles, pregnancy, fibroids, menopause… 😞)

This really sucks, since we women tend to be more concerned about the unsightly appearance of varicose veins, more so then men.

The cover photo from the Vein website, shows a picture of “moderate” varicose veins, which are what many people most commonly suffer from. According to the Vein Health website:

“These large, dilated, ropey veins that bulge above the skin surface, and are usually blue or green in colour. They no longer serve the primary function of veins, which is to return blood to the heart.”

So as you might imagine, this is not simply about how unattractive the veins become. This…
