The best things in life really don’t cost a lot of money. Seeing baby sea turtles hatching, pink dolphins, and magic deer made for a magical trip.
Georgia on my Mind

It was August. I was waiting for Amy to arrive at Jacksonville Airport. We were heading for a week in Jekyll Island, Georgia. And here she came from LAX looking great*. We headed to the rental parking lot to pick up a convertible Mustang. The top was down when we found the car. How hard could it be to put it up? After struggling for what seemed an hour we found the two clips that you needed to release right in front of us.
Jekyll Island is a beautiful barrier island off the coast of Georgia. We couldn’t wait to explore its natural wonders. Clouds started to build as we got closer. When we arrived it was pouring rain. But we were happy to be there as we got sopping wet unloading our things. The storm soon passed and we headed for Driftwood Beach where ancient driftwood trees line the waterfront making an otherworldly scene. An extremely hot sun baked us as we watched a pink dolphin play just offshore until an overzealous woman** chased it away.
