Ambiguity

Something seen but could be anything.

Somewhere in Hallowell Maine

We needed a drink, a break, a timeout from the daily beat of our drums. So we headed purposely to our favorite bar; felt our cares clink and clank at the door, ordered our drinks and sat next to eachother. No phones, no twitter, just us.

This was a Monday night and we needed it.

The last week had been insane. Starting with the ice storm that knocked power out for days, including Christmas morning. And ending with a rain storm that caused massive flooding in much of Central Maine.

We didn't get drunk, but we got happy.

Life is easy with Karry, so we laughed hard, cuddled and kissed like we were alone and made many innocuously fearless toasts. This was a good night.

Afterwards we left the bar, stumbling and cursing over our worries and doubts as they followed us tentatively into our truck and away we went, back to work and forever in love.
