I actually don’t want to think about it. CAT was as expected from how I took the paper, not so good. Just can’t believe it was verbal that tanked.

The good thing is, I wasn’t counting on it. It certainly is a relief when a decent backup plan kicks into gear.

XAT had gone relatively well. After I was done with the exam, in the corridor, I walked right into Arvind Aru from our university. Raja had also given XAT this time, and at the same center! Great to know he’s working as an HR. Aravind Raj joined us from a close by center as well and we all ate good lunch at Sandy’s. It was great to have a completely serendipitous meet-up.

Arvind Aru had made the best Veg order — vegetable lasagna

If there’s anything good so far with the declaration of results, it’s that this doesn’t feel new.

I felt I had one more bullet point to ‘State the adversities you’ve faced in your life,’ but frankly this doesn’t make the cut.

I am scoring 95+ in the exams I had taken except for CAT. And that too, my loss of performance seems to have emerged from Verbal, an area I had consistently been doing 93+ in most mocks. I don’t trust how this entrance assesses me anymore. Or maybe, possibly, my verbal strategy is not sound at a particular difficulty level.

In any case, here’s to backup plans.
Even if everything is scary at the moment.
