Revival, Repentance and Return

the answer is so long in coming.

Habakkuk 1:5 (KJV)
Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.

The burden of Habakkuk is like that of Jeremiah. He sees the wickedness of his nation, Judah, and is burdened by it. He is praying for the Lord to intervene and turn the people back to God. He longs for revival, repentance, and a return to holiness.
