You can learn a lot from TikTok, apart from just dances and challenges. Many people are already using TikTok as a canvas to create videos around educational topics like personal finance, history, and career tips.

How much further can this go? We are still at the very early stages of TikTok and the platform will continue to evolve with each day that goes by.

This article from the Brand Berries talks about a new initiative to increase the amount of educational content on TikTok. Within the Middle East, TikTok will be hosting live sessions every week starting February 25, 2021, where regional celebrities and creators will be teaching users about topics like food, beauty, fitness, and music.

The topic of knowledge sharing and education on TikTok has increased 300% over the last year. Several months ago, TikTok launched a dedicated #LearnOnTikTok hashtag, a central location to encourage people to create more educational content.

The company is still testing many variations, features, and partnerships focused around education.

Keep an eye out — there’s a large opportunity to use TikTok as an education platform, and this sits within the company’s strategic priorities.
