Hopefully your year-end retrospective is like an outdoor concert

If you’ve worked with Agile or Scrum, there’s a good chance you’re familiar with retrospectives.

Doing a retrospective gives your team a fantastic way to reflect on the previous work, review what’s been accomplished and surface ideas for improvement.

As the year comes to an end, I’ve created a fun little Christmas edition retrospective workshop that your team can do in 60–90 minutes. Of course, being someone who loves remote work, I’ve prepared a Mural template that can help you with this exercise.

Year-end Retrospective + Team Celebration

In a typical retrospective, it’s important to drive actionable steps to aim for team/project improvements. For this year-end retrospective, I’ve kept it light-weight without decisions or actions needed to be made. In fact, I’ve designed the session to devote a big chunk of time on celebration.

Your team has worked hard for the year, so rather than getting them ready for more work after the holiday, you want to leave them a good feeling of gratitude and appreciation for all they’ve accomplished.
