The speed of change in artificial intelligence can feel overwhelming — especially for media professionals who are already navigating continued economic uncertainty, shifting audience habits, and platform disruption.

However, ignoring AI is not an option, as developments rapidly reshape how journalism is produced, distributed, and consumed. These aren’t abstract trends — they have real implications for editorial workflows, trust in content, business models, and audience engagement.

In my latest article for Digital Content Next, I unpack four key trends that media leaders should be watching closely.

Within this, I also highlight examples of how organizations like Politico, The New York Times, and regional outlets are adapting to this technological shift.
