In 1990, Matthew Winkler co-founded and launched Bloomberg News. Under his leadership, over the next 25 years, Bloomberg News received more than 800 awards and expanded from six employees, to over two and a half thousand in more than 120 countries around the world.

Mr Winkler’s career began as a reporter at the Ohio-based Mount Vernon news before moving to work for the Bond Buyer, the Wall Street Journal, and others. He has served as editor-in-chief Emeritus at Bloomberg News since February 2015.
