Dance/USA: June 17–20, 2015
June 17–20, 2015 Dance/USA will host its 7th annual conference in Miami. The dance conference will be a mix of discussion-based sessions and practical breakout sessions, and aims to answer questions such as: how will dance deal with technological change? What is the social responsibility of dance? There will be a combination of executive directions, agents, and artists coming together to offer training sessions, conversations, and performances. Dance/USA invites you to come, and listen, learn, connect, share, and engage.
Orlando Salsa Congress: July 2–5, 2015
With over 50 workshops that cater to everyone from beginner level to advanced, and over 30 different performances each night, the Orlando Salsa Congress offers a fun filled weekend July 2–5, 2015. This conference promises to be four days of non-stop fun and action, with performances that feature some of the very best national and international talent. There’s also social dancing every night until 4am and pool parties by day that feature DJs and exceptional music.
NY Dance Festival: Next Step Musical Theater Project: July 6–10, 2015
Here’s one for the kids! For teens and pre-teens, the New York Dance Festival is a must-attend event. This weeklong festival runs from July 6–10, 2015. This camp gives teens and pre-teens the chance to train in dancing, singing, and acting, and features world-class instruction. It also helps to build confidence by focusing on anti-bullying, and by delving into family communication skills.
2015 Denver Salsa & Bachata Congress: Oct 2–4, 2015
Another salsa congress! The Salsa & Bachata “Event of the Year” is Denver’s own claim to salsa fame. This congress will feature a number of workshops to choose from –with most of them from international professionals. There’s also the option to choose a full pass or performance pass, allowing anyone to participate no matter what their budget.
Houston Salsa Congress
We’re a bit late for this congress this year, but the Houston Salsa Congress for 2016 is something that’s worth marking your calendar for! Running Martin Luther King JR weekend 2016, the Houston Salsa Congress will be hosting its 16th annual congress. Each year, the Houston Salsa Congress highlights the beauty, creativity, and culture of Latin dance and music, and is a great opportunity for those who are interested in salsa, to come and improve their skills through workshops, and to soak up some of the culture and history behind this dance.
