A Memorable School Trip Part: 2

After visiting Swaminarayan Temple In Bhuj we all sat inside the bus. Then, we started our way to reach the Prag Mahal.

The Prag Mahal is a 19th-century palace located next to the Aina Mahal in Bhuj, Gujarat, India.

It was built in the 19th century during the reign of Maharao Shri Pragmalji II and is known for its unique blend of Italian Gothic and Indian architectural styles. The palace has intricate designs, and ornate decorations, and houses a collection of artifacts and artworks.

The palace’s grand hall is adorned with exquisite Corinthian columns and a stained glass roof. The hall is spacious and features detailed carvings and decorations.

The palace also has a clock tower, which was designed by an English architect. The tower has a blend of Indian and European architectural styles. It was an amazing experience to Experience the climb up the clock tower of Prag Mahal was truly amazing. We made our way up to the top, and the view from there was absolutely breathtaking.

The journey to the highest point of the palace was filled with excitement and anticipation. As we ascended the tower’s steps, we could feel the history and grandeur of the palace surrounding us. Reaching the top, we were rewarded with a panoramic view that stretched out over the city and beyond. It was a memorable adventure that allowed us to connect with the past while marveling at the present beauty of the surroundings.

Our tour guide said that scenes from the Bollywood blockbusters Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Lagaan, as well as a number of Gujarati films, were shot in the palace. It was a brilliant visit to Prag Mahal.

We spent an entire evening visiting the palace. From there we went to the guest house and had a delicious dinner with Paul Bhaji.

Pav Bhaji is a popular Indian dish that consists of a spicy vegetable curry served with soft bread rolls known as "pav." The curry is made from a blend of mashed vegetables such as potatoes, peas, carrots, and bell peppers, which are cooked with a mix of spices like cumin, coriander, turmeric, and red chili powder. The dish is often garnished with chopped onions, cilantro, and a squeeze of lemon juice. Pav Bhaji is a flavorful and hearty street food that originated in Mumbai and has become a favorite across India and in many other parts of the world. Take a look at the delicious Pau Bhaji here.

After savoring a delightful dinner of Pav Bhaji, our group decided to add an extra dose of fun to our evening by playing a game of Truth or Dare with our classmates and even our teacher. Laughter filled the air as we took turns revealing truths and taking on amusing dares. The atmosphere was lively and light-hearted, making it a truly enjoyable night.

This marked the first day of our trip, and the feeling of excitement was palpable. The combination of delicious food, camaraderie, and games created memories that would stay with us for a long time. As the night progressed, we eventually settled in for some rest, knowing that a new day awaited us. With the anticipation of exploring more of Kutch's wonders, we drifted off to sleep, recharging ourselves for the adventures that lay ahead.
