An Unforgettable Meeting With a Friend
A friend that many may know
Who is this special friend that I met? Many of you may know her as the owner of a well-known publication on Medium Namaste Now.
I have known Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles as a friend, writer, and editor, and have worked together as an editor of Coffee Times, Illumination, and Dancing Elephants Press.
We have had constant communication but we had never met. Imagine that she was in Delhi from Bangalore and we decided to meet.
We planned to meet at a central place at Janpath. She got down from the popular Delhi Metro (the train) and told me she was standing before The Cottage Emporium.
I did not have any hesitation in welcoming her. The moment I saw her I knew that this was Vidya. The big red bindi on her forehead, a red shirt, and jeans to go with it.
We exchanged happy smiles, followed by an enthusiastic hug. Her warm eyes and infectious laugh had a lot of charm.
I found her just as I imagined she would be. Happy, smiling, chatty, friendly, and very intelligent and smart. She knew how to travel on her own and also knew her way about town.
