Human Observation

How often do you sit and people-watch in busy areas such as urban streets or malls? It is fascinating to observe people’s body language and habits. I find most people are tuned out and living solely within their own little confined, sad world. Few people interact with each other.

Is Anyone Happy, Plugged In, and Truly Living These Days?

So many people I watched were looking down at their phones as they walked or talking on their phones and not paying attention to life happening around them.

Some people speed walk, and it made me wonder if they were in a hurry, if it made them feel important, or if they simply wanted to hurry to get away from others without interacting.

Couples passed by, and some were clearly miserable and arguing or bickering. Others appeared to be ignoring each other. An occasional couple seemed happy, and I wondered if that was just an illusion, or were they truly happy?

Interestingly, people with dogs stopped and talked more than people without animals with them. Dog owners seemed to be the most outgoing people who were willing to…
