Today, February 11, 2023, time is 8:30 p.m. IST (7:30 a.m. PST). I’m marking this date on my calendar as a memorable time of my life, experiencing a familial connection outside of my family.

It was Dancing Elephants Press Zoom meeting. I have been writing for DEP for over six weeks now and I’ve always felt something special about this publication, the connection.

The reason for this I see is Dr. Gabriella Korosi, the captain of this pub, who walks the extra mile to make this happen. This Zoom meeting was yet another milestone. We had our esteemed editorial board members, Dr. Preeti Singh, Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles, and DR Rawson - The Possibilist.

And, Dr. Preeti, in spite of the cough and severe sore throat she had, was present throughout smiling and cherishing the moment. This clearly shows the kind of connection DEP Family has created.

It was a 40-minute session, which for me felt like 10 minutes with lots of laughter and thought sharing, including the part where DR Rawson - The Possibilist briefed happenings around DEP, future positive changes, and the importance of building a community and possible ways to achieving that.

I also met other DEP writers, William J Spirdione, Dr. Fatima Imam, Shubha Apte, and Garima Sharma and it was great to meet and greet and learn more about each other.

I was so overexcited to see all of my favorite authors in one place. This was my first time and my only goal was to meet them all and say hi. I set a reminder right after I read about the meeting mentioned in the January recap of DEP.

So, that wish was fulfilled. I was out of words with overwhelmed happiness and joy! The experience was great and even the result of the meeting feels great.

In the morning, when I read a few posts from the writers I met in the meeting, it felt different than before. There was more of a connection while commenting and reading the responses, it really feels good. All hail the technology that makes this possible. This is a great way to build a strong community.

I’m writing this so that you are informed and I would like to invite you to join the upcoming meetings. Let’s meet there.
