An imaginative scenario to describe what it’s like living with a narcissist.
The Setting
A cold and drizzly Monday has descended upon the city streets. All of the human life forms hurry about their day, thrumming to and fro with their overpriced, (too thin) paper cups of coffee. Perhaps a green mermaid logo can be seen hugging the outside. Each person has their own special mixture within.
Iced, tall, caramel…hot, white, oat milk, macchiato… non-fat, no cream, large mocha with chocolate drizzle, and so on and so forth. Their brand of contents filled the inside of their little clutched cup. It helps them cope with the morning. Or late afternoon, or evening. Or life.
Normally, that mixture of personally curated contents stays perfectly under its cream-colored *76% recycled* plastic lid. Steam escapes from a tiny little hole in the center in nearly imperceptible amounts. Each hand grasps firmly round the edges of their very own coffee container & everyone continues on their way.
The Mishap
Until, in a moment of distraction, or chaos, or lack of coordination, life gets hectic, or some other simile for out of control. Maybe a horn honks in the…
