The Old Woman Is Sad Today
The old lady Kamla Devi (Not her real Name)is 96 years old. The picture shows her smiling but she was very sad today.
She celebrated her 96th birthday with a lot of happiness. All her friends were invited to a fabulous restaurant. She got new clothes made and especially got jewelry made for the occasion.
My friend Sandy was very excited. She told me that she could not spend more time with me as she had to run and help the old lady to get ready and then escort her to the party.
The old lady was lovingly called Aunty,’ by everyone and she was Sandy’s neighbor. I was as excited as her though I was not going to the party. I asked her all the details of the place they had booked for lunch and what each one of the ladies was wearing on this special occasion.
I even discussed it with her and we bought a special present for her when we went to Varanasi together for a vacation.
The party was wonderful. Aunty was happy and she was even going ahead with plans for her next birthday, what she would wear, and the special place where she would celebrate her next birthday.
