Happiness isn’t that thing you buy
Or find in any store,
You may search low and high
But it’s waiting at your door.

Happiness is not a rainbow’s end
A pot of gold found at last,
It’s the adrenalin in your heart
When you’re doing something fast.

Happiness is not a perfect day
When everything goes right,
It’s the smile on your lips
When things look just a little bright.

Happiness isn’t a treasure to store away,
It blossoms when shared with glee,
With someone dear, along life’s way
A dance of joy between you and me.

Happiness is not a thing you find
But something you create,
So open up your heart and mind
You’ll see it’s right there on your plate.

Most folks are about as happy as they make up…
