Home Sweet Home- Where Love And Belonging Embrace
In response to DEP Prompt 40 of 52 — Love
Four walls and a roof alone do not create a home; they merely form a house.
Home is a sanctuary where love resides, and cherished memories are woven into its very fabric. It is a place where friends, family, and relatives find belonging, where love and kindness are freely shared, and laughter never ceases.
I have always believed in forging an emotional connection with the brick-and-mortar that surrounds me. It is a place where I can spend my entire day in pajamas, savoring a hot cup of tea in my cozy nook.
Home is the refuge to which I retreat for peace, love, and comfort after enduring the stresses of the outside world. As I return from a long and tiring day at work, the moment I step inside, all my worries dissipate, and I am enveloped in the comforting warmth of my home.
Within these walls, my true self is reflected. From the beauty of my balcony garden to the inviting living room, the cozy library and study room, and the functional yet charming bedroom and kitchen — each space exudes positive energy.
I take delight in transforming my home into a haven, striving to foster an emotionally uplifting environment. Every corner holds cherished memories, created together with my family and friends.
When it comes to home improvement projects, we approach them as a family affair. Even though my son and his wife reside in a different city, when decisions need to be made, such as choosing paint colors or selecting furniture, all of us are involved and invested in shaping the space.
The decor of my home has been thoughtfully curated, making it both comfortable and inviting.
It is here that we, as a family, have celebrated birthdays, traditional events, festivals, and anniversaries. These moments interweave into a tapestry of memories that forever make my home a special and safe place.”
Coming home is always a profoundly special experience. As someone wisely expressed, “Life may take you to unexpected places, but love will always bring you home.”
Thank youDr. Gabriella Korosi and the editors of DEP, Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles, Dr. Preeti Singh, and Annelise Lords for such a wonderful prompt. Love is a powerful emotion.
