Hope For The Best And Don’t Forget The Rest Of This Quote.
It’s hope for the best and EXPECT FOR THE WORST.
Failure doesn’t differentiate between the prepared and the unprepared. Even if you have the perfect plan, you may still fail. Even if you give your best, you may still fail. Even if you manifest, your manifestation will still not materialize.
Is it because you did something wrong? Maybe. Or maybe not.
Try telling that to those who planned for years, gave their all, and believed in their dreams. I’ve seen friends do their best and receive support from the people that matter most. Even I was no exception to this experience. You had no choice but to accept defeat and give up. It was heartbreaking to be on both sides of the story, but there is nothing you can do to change the outcome.
Picking up the pieces after is even harder. It doesn’t feel like it’s still worth giving things another try. The truth is even more painful to face for goals and dreams that involve resources and limits.
But as painful as it seems, please try. One more time.
Yes, even if this is your 500th attempt. Especially if there is still a voice inside you telling you to do so.
This time, try hoping for the best and expecting the worst.
I am not telling you to be negative. I want you to go ahead and do your best. But this time, you will plan for both positive and negative results. This time, you will equip yourself with the mindset that you have a chance to win and a chance to fail.
In reality, your best may not be the best for the situation. Not everything will be in our control, no matter how things are going well right now. But you have the power to prepare yourself mentally and emotionally if you don’t end up with the results you hoped for.
If life came with an episode preview, we would know what to do.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t. The only thing life constantly offers is a plot twist. Even then, there’s no telling if it will be a good one or a bad one.
Since we can’t control everything, it is best that we balance positivity and reality. In this way, it will be much easier for us to move from asking “why?” and focus on moving forward instead.
Thank you for reading until the end, and I wish you “hope for the best and expect the worst!”
