What does control mean?

Google says: The power to influence or direct people’s behavior or the course of events.

What is ego?

Google dictates: A person’s sense of self-esteem or self-importance.

I was in my kitchen, removing bags of frozen chicken to thaw out to barbecue for Sunday dinner, when my husband came in wanting to break two coconuts.

Staring at the sink packed with bags of frozen seasoned chicken while I searched for the right bag. He looked down at the sink, then said, “You have to leave. I want to use the sink now!”

I burst out laughing, and then an instinctive thought circled my brain. My self-aware, confident self asked, giggling, “Didn’t you come in here and see me.”

We laughed at what had just transpired, as I don’t think he was aware of his action or what he said.

This is how many wars start worldwide and how many relationships end.

A violent argument could erupt depending on how I answered, my attitude, tone of voice, facial expression, body language, and personality.
