I’m a visual person, so sensitive to what goes on around me that my environment can make or break my mood for hours, days, or months. Color is a big part of the environment — would you rather sleep in a white room or a blue one? (I’m partial to something colorful myself!)

According to this writing prompt, colors can also describe a person. I really dug deep here because I didn’t want to describe myself in terms of just one color, but many. I also wanted to use my own photographs. Enjoy!

I am a silly person! I love to clown around. Here I wear wigs of orange and green, just because. When I wore the green one to Walmart, an older woman stared at me in horror, thinking it was my real hair.

I explained that I had just worn it for a St. Patrick’s Day 5K run — well, a March 5K run; I was the only one dressed in green, but I didn’t care. That didn’t really make her feel better about it. Oh, well. I loved my green hair.
