That Inner Thought That Brings Kindness To Our Heart. GK

I have a co-worker who is leaving where I work and she is one of the most kind-hearted people I know. As I was reflecting on what I know about her and wanted to wish her a farewell these words below came to me in the form of a poem. I was able to send her the poem and also read her this poem in front of a poetry group I was hosting. It was wonderful to find out that this was the first poem anyone ever wrote to her and that she loved it very much.

Farewell To A Kind Heart

Walking in the garden of roses,
A kind heart emerges.
She sees the good in others,
creating change that matters.

Time to go the kind heart states.
Other places we will explore.
I am looking back no more.
Standing up for what is right
Protecting my heart with all my might.
