Kindness & Taking Your No Pills
“If it hurts from their demands, take your ‘No’ pills for pain.
“You are ignoring my calls!” Angelina said to Sofie as she entered her office. “What’s going on?”
Sofie sighed long and heavy and asked, “How many times have you called me?”
Curiosity furled her brows, and she responded, “Three times?”
“So, three is death for you,” Sofie said in deep thought.
“No,” Angelina answered. “But that’s the amount of time I give to the people I care about before I dig deeper. Are you ok?”
Sofie battled with her emotions as Angelina stared at her, then reached over to hug her.
“It hurts Angel, it hurts so much,” she cried.
“What hurts?” Angelina quests, still hugging her.
“Being kind.”
“Yes, honey, humanity and their cruelty often make kindness painful for many kind hearts,” Angelina soothes.
Sofie eased back and explained, “I stopped answering all calls for the past two weeks. You are the only one who dug deeper. Why?”
