King Tides And Sneaker Waves
The ocean at an uproar and a lesson to learn
Nature has an amazing powerhouse at display during king tides on the Oregon coast range. This past weekend I was visiting the ocean with a friend who I had not seen for a long time. Seeing the ocean is always a magical moment, the water is different every time. The power of the water mesmerized me over and over again.
After all what one can do besides standing there in awe of this magical water?
We walked out to the beach and there was almost no beach. We went to see the ocean in multiple places and spots in Gearhart and Seaside, Oregon. Each time the power of the water was amazing to witness. In two places we did not even get out of the car just watched the ocean from the parking lot. The water was too close.
The water seemed angry and sending a warning sign:
Stay away from me!
