Grandma said: come on my little one, I will teach you how to bake and make “makos guba”.

Grandma pulled out water, salt, sugar, and flour to make a pastry to be baked after rolled into thin rolls.

Once everything was rolled and baked, it was time to grind the poppy seed and warm the milk.

It was so much fun to bake together with Grandma that Gabi forgot how much time passed.

It was time to cut the baked pastry, add warm milk for soaking it, and top with poppyseed.

Everybody gathered around to enjoy this Christmas dessert together.

I hope you have enjoyed this drabble. I used to make Makos guba with my grandmother, enjoy remembering these moments and the Christmas traditions.

It was a wonderful family tradition to cook and bake together for Christmas with my Grandmother. I miss those moments.

Inspiring tradition from Dr. Preeti Singh thank you for the wonderful holiday prompt about traditions. #Dep Life

In addition, I would like to say thank you to drabblers Rick Allen, DR Rawson - The Possibilist, and CJ Coop for inspiring me to write about Hungarian Traditions.
