Reusing and Recycling: Learning How To Make My Own Paper
A journey to recreate
Learn, grow, create, re-create, re-use, recycle and have fun. GK
It is always good to learn something new. Creativity never stops. I have decided to try something new and make my own art and craft paper instead of buying any more paper. Protecting the planet and humanity is one of my priorities in life and I feel like if there is something I can do to make it better I will try.
I enjoy crafts, arts, painting, drawing and making something new. This is my first try to make paper for arts and crafts from pre existing paper instead of buying some in the store. Back in September I was reading and article from Annelise Lords about toilet paper. I decided to act on the article and ordered my own bamboo toilet paper without all the additives that can cause cancer. I wrote and article about it.
A few months ago I decided that I would like to reuse the rolls inside the toilet paper and the covers to make paper. It is all made of bamboo which is a great sustainable source of paper. I been collecting the papers and the rolls and a few weeks ago I begin the paper making process. The toilet paper covers I use has 3 colors, including dark green, light pink and white.
