Sunset And Sunrise — DEP Chronicle
A Sunset of promises and a Sunrise for hope.
“Why are you here every morning before you go to work?” Daniel asked Shasa as she stared at the sun while it rose, beautifying the sky and its surroundings. Smiling as various sea birds soar across the sky, feasting on silly fishes that come too close to the surface, unconsciously offering themselves as a feast for the birds.
She smiled without looking at Daniel and shared, “A sunrise for hope. Look how the sun beautifies the sky and our world—a world raging in hell that terrifies me every day I wake up.” Turning to face him, she saw the shock and fear on his face.
He blinks several times, hoping to cover his pain.
She nodded after reading his pain and enlightened, “The sun shares hope. No matter the hell raging in our world, the sun shows up, telling us life goes on. We must find a way to live it with kindness and love.”
