The Beauty Of My Neighborhood
In response to Dancing Elephants Press prompt #30 of 52 — “My Favorite Thing In Nature Where I Live!”
See the beauty of this world through my lens!
Observe to see the hidden beauty around you!
I show you what I observe and relish in Nature!
Did you see her?👆
Awe! How beautiful she is!
I think she likes to be photographed. She turned around to pose perfectly for the photo. You see?👇🏻
How wonderful to witness such beauty as you step out of your house for a morning walk! It’s such a wonderful blessing!
At the end of my street, I take the left and the morning shower from this golden shower tree.
Awe! Freshened up and energized and continued my walk.
“Oh! What happened to you? Have you overslept? Come on! Wake up and speed up!” I told this tree who’s very slowly starting to bud out the tiny little tender leaves.
“Did I get xanthopsia? Why am I seeing all yellow?”😀
Golden shower again!
There’s my husband blocking our son’s way and Pepper, one of our neighbor’s dogs started barking and wouldn’t stop, thinking that he was attacking him.
All the dogs in our neighborhood including the stray dogs are my son’s friends and bodyguards.
Meet a few of them! 👇🏻
Oh! I see yellow again! I have to seriously go for a checkup.😜
Okay! See to the left, the white flowers of plumeria golden arrow. Ahhhh! So beautiful!
So, I’ll cancel that doctor’s appointment, ha!😉
Then I see this peacock flower everywhere, spread around with the help of birds.
And, we also have peacocks everywhere around!
I admire the tree trunks, the branches, and the bark.
The leaves and flowers too!
Sometimes, the perfectly camouflaged tiny creatures pridefully display their tactics!
Let me tell you a secret, “I can see them all!”
Anndddd, I see the pinks!
The whites!
The orange-reds!
And the new arrivals, the future rulers of the streets!
I don’t know whether to pity them or to admire their beauty and cuteness.
The stray puppies and the street’s nature’s own rangoli are all equally fascinating.
On the third street from my house, I saw this wonder and stood there captivated by its unique color and beauty.
To the next street and next street and next street and all the way back witnessing more of Nature’s magical beauty, I meet my son in the street closer to our home and we say bye to all the dog friends and return with fresh and happy minds.
Here’s a bonus for you! Meet this cute little fella from my neighborhood.
Thank you
for this wonderful prompt, an opportunity for me to share my blissful feeling of experiencing Nature. There’s more to observing Nature, the tiny little creatures that could only be witnessed if we slow down and look for them.
He was resting on the wall near the stairs. He was only 5 mm or less.
How did I notice him?
There were many insects and moths in our corridor yesterday and I was taking pictures of each one of them to document in the iNaturalist app.
