The Biggest Mistakes I’ve Made On Medium

Even though I’ve been writing for decades — for both the love of the art and the pursuit of business — I’m still a rookie in many ways.
Maybe that’s just a part of the creative journey, or perhaps it’s due to my “shallow ego.” The ego can deceive us until we become more self-aware and humble.

I can be a slow learner, especially when recognizing where I hold myself back. I joined Medium in April 2018, eager to share my work and find an audience. I also had a burning desire to print money from the craft.
For years, I did my best to go it alone. But just over six weeks ago, I received a fortuitous email out of the blue.
Here’s what the email said:
