Train Ride — Photo by Balazs Busznyak on Unsplash

I

On the GO, I go, on solitaire

I pressed my ‘presto’ on the reader

I followed folks, walked up the stairs

The third flight-up-view was better

II

The train-ride, such a magical quest.

For this unlearned with aimless zest

And all was just an unknowable jest -

A sheer thrill no one could attest.

III

This child-like state of mind

In tangent with just thrilling grind

As coach begins to roll on tracks

The whole of me, in breathless acts.

IV

From level three of upper seat

The view a far indeed concrete

A wide array of city streets

That zigzagged through a beastly heap.

V

Soon scenes of spruce, birch and pines

Bushes all greens with twisted vines

They move within my comforted mind

Could easily lull in Morpheus bind.
