For most of my life, I believed something was wrong with me. Even though I had a relatively positive childhood, I grew up in a loving hellhole between parents who fought about money and the lack of material success.
When my father’s business collapsed, the fear of having no money, no home, and no approval from the outside world, the only thing I knew was to bury the emotions deep within me. Tapping into my parent’s liquor cabinet was the way I went.
Hungry ghosts haunted me for decades. I’ll never forget the warring gang dreams and bed-wetting when I was a 13-year-old boy. Because of the inner torment of my war within, I invested decades reading books about healing, psychology, metaphysics, and, later in life, about getting sober, waking up, and liberating myself from the addictions I had fed for decades.
