Up, Up and Away
Let go of the rules that hold you back
I can’t fit into the small spaces
I created for myself
anymore confined into thinking
that being okay is all I'm capable of
thoughts passed down to be
from generations above
where i promised myself
too little from the world
I want more, more, more
insanity fills me up
the good kind
the one that pushes me
past beliefs, rules, and conformities
that I no longer hold
I’m growing, changing, learning
shooting upwards and onwards
there’s love, there’s light, there’s laughter
life is beautiful
and i’m standing tall
when I was bent before
