Are You Watching the Women’s Basketball Tournament?

The UConn women’s basketball team have won 109 consecutive games. These games are not even close, the other night UConn played Syracuse in a rematch of last year’s National Championship game. In the game last season UConn won by 31 points. This time the teams met in the second round and again the dominant Huskies prevailed by 30 points. UConn’s dominance is not good for the game of basketball. One of the best things about March Madness is the madness. People love seeing the upsets be pulled. but when it comes to women’s basketball the 30 plus point blowouts are not fun for anyone watching. During this record setting stretch for the Huskies they have won 3 games by single digit points. Also the NCAA does do them a favor by letting them play at home during the NCAA tournament. Yes, there is a Bridgeport Connecticut region that the Huskies are a part of. UConn will only continue their dominance as on Saturday they will play the fourth seeded UCLA Bruins.
