You probably have heard about Fortnite because either you’re obsessed with it or your boyfriend is.

Now, the sports world is too.

Fortnite is a Battle Royale game where up to 100 people compete to be the last one surviving.

Most video games are popular for a few months and then everyone moves on to the next game that comes out, but this did not happen with Fortnite.

The game is so popular that even the NCAA thought the best way to advertise the Final Four was to insert each team into the Fortnite lobby.

JuJu Smith-Schuster of the Steelers thought one of his moves would be deadlier than picking up a rare weapon.

Josh Hart of the Lakers got custom Fortnite shoes to show how dedicated he is to the video game.

Fans at hockey games are now insulting players based on their Fortnite ability instead of their perfromance on the ice.

A Columbus Blue Jackets fan made a sign that made fun of Avalanche player Nathan MacKinnon.

The sign taunted his ability to stay alive in the game without hiding in a bush.

There have even been GIFs made from the NCAA tournament relating to how players feel when they land in Tilted Towers and can’t find any weapons.

According to Bleacher Report, Detroit Pistons player Andre Drummond travels with a briefcase for his console and a 19-inch TV so he can play Fortnite just about anywhere.

I have played Fortnite myself and relate mostly to Drummond who says he rarely tallies any kills and mostly just focuses on gathering supplies for his teammates.

The next time you get on the Battle Bus, you never know how many of your sports idols you could be competing against.
