We’ve been waiting since early November and now here we are, only 4 days away from America’s national pastime to resume regular season play. The spring allowed for us to get a glimpse of what to expect this season and as a Mets fan the outlook hasn’t been too bad.

Yes, their record hasn’t been great, but again, it’s only the spring and they’ve shown glimpses of what their team outlook will be for this upcoming season. We’ve seen awesome moments from their pitching and flashes of what their offense may be capable of. Washington is still the best team in the division and then you have the Mets at a distant second. Should the team stay healthy this season it could be a team that surprises people.

I’m not going to proclaim that they’ll make the playoffs but they will be playing meaningful games in September. Just think about it though, last time their whole staff was healthy they led the Mets to the World Series. I’m not saying they’ll make a run like that because the NL is better than it was 3 years ago and unfortunately we have to always be skeptical when hearing someone is injured.

The Degrom and Syndergaard combination this year will be one to watch out for. Thor was throwing straight flames in the spring and Degrom wil continue to be his same self. Once Michael Conforto returns then that’ll add a whole new element to the Mets lineup.

By all means don’t get your hopes too high for the Mets this season, realistically I can see them winning 85 games and possibly 90 if fully healthy. So get ready Mets fans, one year was long enough lets see our Metropolitans make it back to the postseason and bless us with another run.
