There were casualties to bear witness on Tuesday night.

When the land of the rising sun was taken down in the semi-finals of the World Baseball Final by none other than the United States.

My roommate, of Japanese origin, was downed by a quick swift of the final score, illuminating his computer screen like fireworks.

Speaking of — in a suite full of proud, patriotic Westerners, we had a few things to say to our poor fellow.

Of course, Puerto Rico fared not much better.

Nevertheless, expect a response on the games tomorrow. For tonight, and essentially the rest of the week, The Star-Spangled Banner will be playing on loop.
