In The Best of 3 Card Marty, we’ll highlight some of the best matchups as submitted by The 596. This match between apexpreditor_1’s The Good-natured Stars and wesdoogie’s The Confident Balloons showcases the power of the 10+ lore modifier. Despite leading the match after the dice roll step, wesdoogie lost because their deck didn’t have matching lore, swinging the match in favor of apex. Ironically, due to apex rolling a 3 during the ante step, wesdoogie was forced to give up the card that ruined his deck’s lore bonus:

On the face of it, this match isn’t all that interesting. A pink deck beating the stuffing out of a green deck is a normal occurrence, but what we’re highlighting here is skloppp’s willingness to put three moderator signed cards on the line. They did just that when their The Cooperative Resin Users faced off against Prussiaz’s The Responsible Pianos. Skloppp’s bravery is to be commended, but they weren’t able to overcome their poor rolls. Adding insult to injury, Prussiaz won skloppp’s highest rolling card during the ante step:
